OSSRC Referee Re-Certification Program
The Ohio South State Referee Committee (OSSRC) has adopted a Referee Recertification Training program for USSF experienced Grade 7 and 8 Referees, which is being inaugurated for the 2009 registration year. The annual training courses will each consist of two clinic sessions:
All USSF Grade 8 Referees with 3 or less years of experience will be required to attend the IRRT Modules “A” and “B”, in order to satisfy their annual training course requirements for recertification. These Modules “A” and “B” are not appropriate and will not be accepted for recertification credit for Grade 7 and Grade 8 Referees with more than 3 years experience. All USSF Grade 7 Referees and all USSF Grade 8 Referees with more than 3 years of experience will be required to attend the ARRT Modules “C” and “D”, in order to satisfy their annual training course requirements for recertification. These Modules “C” and “D” are not appropriate and will not be accepted for recertification purposes for Grade 12 Assistant Referees and Grade 8 Referees with 3 or less years of experience. All USSF Grade 5 & 6 State Referees and all USSF Grade 7 Referees upgrading to Grade 6 will be required to attend the State Referee Clinic or the Make-Up State Referee Clinic to satisfy their annual training course requirements for recertification. The State Referee Clinic is not appropriate and will not be accepted as recertification training credit for USSF Grades 7, 8, 9 and 12 Referees. It is mandated that all USSF Grade 7, 8, 9 and 12 Referees attend a Module “A” or a Module “C” recertification clinic in accordance with their level of experience, as mentioned above. All re-registration forms and fees will be collected only at these clinic sessions. There will be NO mail-in registrations accepted. 2009 Law books and badges will also NOT be mailed to you!!! 2009 badges will only be distributed at the recertification clinics and only to those that have met all the designated recertification requirements for their referee grade level. Arriving late and/or leaving early is totally unacceptable, and as such may invalidate your attendance. Take care to arrange your schedule to avoid such conflicts. All clinic sessions are open for any and all officials to attend, but attendance credit to be applied toward meeting your recertification training requirements will only be as stated above. |
