Ken Conselyea is an individual who has provided exceptional service to the game of soccer as a referee, instructor, assessor, mentor, administrator and assignor to Ohio South and to the Region II Referee Program.

Ken Conselyea began his soccer career coaching youth soccer and in 1976 quickly established himself as one of the states' most reliable, dependable, and effective game officials. He served as a State Level Referee for twenty years, a high school referee, and a college referee, until 1996. In addition, Ken has been instrumental in the growth and development of referee ranks in Ohio South with over 20 years of service in the training, assessment, and administration of Ohio South’s game officials. Ken served as a National Referee Assessor and Instructor from 1985 to 2004. He has served the Southern Ohio Soccer Association as Secretary and the President for more than fifteen years, in which he still performs and has held positions of Region II Secretary and Treasurer for ten years, until 1998. He has served as a member of the USASA Credentials Committee, USSF Appeals Committee, USSF Committee and Policy Task Force, a delegate to the Soccer Summit in Chicago in 1982, and a member on the Divisional Leagues Committee. In 2002, Ken was named one of the top 100 soccer leaders in Ohio by MLS. Ken’s exceptional contributions, his dedication, service and love of the game of soccer are recognized by The Ohio State Referee Committee establishing the Ken Conselyea Award in 2005 to annually recognize the referee, administrator, assessor or instructor who made significant contributions to Ohio South Soccer. Ken resides in Springboro, OH with his wife Marlene.
