2008 REFEREE RECERTIFICATION CLINIC OUTLINE

Two Modules each comprised of 2.5 hours. These can be given in one 5 hour block or 2 – 2.5 hour sessions.

Grades 12 and 9: Must take Module-1 to complete their classroom requirements for recertification.

Grades 8 and 7 who DID NOT ATTEND THE COLUMBUS CREW REFEREE DAY WORKSHOPS: Must attend both Modules listed below.

Grades 8 and 7 who ATTENDED EITHER THE PRE-GAME OR THE POST-GAME WORKSHOPS AT THE COLUMBUS CREW REFEREE DAY: Must attend first part of Module-1 (up to the break) and Module-2.

Grades 8 and 7 who ATTENED BOTH THE PRE-GAME AND POST-GAME WORKSHOPS AT THE COLUMBUS CREW REFEREE DAY: Must attend Module-2 only. However, they need to show up early for registration and receive the Memorandum 2007 handout (30-minutes credit)

3. Points of Emphasis (Offside) (25 min.)
4. AR Communication (Offside Emphasis) (20 min.)

6. AR and Referee Mechanics (30 min)
7. Test Review (15 min.)
8. Local Issues (10 min )
9. USSF Administration – Registration (10 min.)

MODULE-2 (2.5 Hrs.)
1. Test (07-08 Referee Recertification Exam) (20 min.)
2. Points of Emphasis - Misconduct (30 min.)
3. Points of Emphasis - Use of Elbows (30 min.)
4. BREAK – if needed (5 min.)
5. Dealing with Assessors (15 min.)
6. Game Reports – Your Final Duty (20 min.)
7. Test Review (15 min.)
8. Local Issues (10 min.)
9. USSF Administration – Handout Badges (5 min.)
